2010 Sparta
Independent, "The Children's Edition"
Our sales rep, Robin Woods from the
"Sparta Independent" gave us an opportunity we couldn't resist. We have
placed an ad in the newspaper's "Children's Edition." Children from The Helen
Morgan School in Sparta were given the task of creating advertisements for
the paper. The parameters were to select a business, create the drawing
(without computer graphics), and have fun! Seventeen kids selected us to
create their design (all we had to do was provide the wording). The result?
Too many great drawings to pick from and artwork for our refrigerator here
at the shop!! We picked one at random and are using a page on this website
to display all the hard work that went into the project. Thanks to ALL of the
kids that participated!

From last Spring....
Interesting? We
think so....
We have an avian visitor that
frequents our shop on a daily basis. It's "Stinky," the Albino Robin. Pokin'
around the internet we have learned that 8.22% of all albino birds are
robins, and approximately 1 in 30,000 robins is an albino. The most rare albino
robin is one that is completely white. Stinky is not completely white, so
according to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, he ain't that rare. But he's still
pretty cool to us and we hope you like our pictures. Click on the link below to
